About Me

I am honoured by the privilege of walking alongside folks and hearing their stories. My therapeutic presence is warm and informal, and focuses on creating safety for my clients. Much of my practice has been with survivors of sexual and gender-based violence, which I have done for more than five years - all of my work is trauma informed. I am a leader and a participant in a local spiritual community, and thus my practice is spiritually-informed.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I have a Master of Arts in Counselling and Spirituality from Saint Paul University. I am a full member of the Canadian Professional Association for Transgender Health (CPATH). I am a Level 1 Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) therapist, and am participating in ongoing AEDP training.

My Approach to Counselling & Psychotherapy
My approach to therapist is primarily a blend of person-centered therapy and feminist therapy, influenced significantly by AEDP. I believe that each of my clients possesses the capacity to grow and change; you are the expert on the subject of you! I affirm and respect the diversity of gender and sexuality. I also intentionally consider the social, cultural, political and economic factors that may impact mental health. Overall, my approach is gentle, supportive and eclectic in serving the needs of my clients.
